Wesley “Wes” Clayton Pryor, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left this earth on December 29, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on December 5, 1960, in Oklahoma City. Wes
lived a life full of laughter and unforgettable memories. Wes was a proud graduate of Putnam City West High School in 1979 and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Murray State College. He married the love of his life, Lisa Pryor, in 1986. They raised their kids Duane, Sammi Jo, and Cullen in Arp, TX.
Wes was a dedicated baseball coach for Cullen and lots of his friends. He was still affectionately known as Coach Wes by many of them. He found his long-term calling as a salesman in the oilfield with Baker Hughes and Halliburton. While working with Halliburton, Wes and Lisa had the opportunity to travel all over the world but they never lost their love for Oklahoma and their family there. Wes had a passion for watching sports, especially baseball. Those who knew him could frequently find him in front of a TV, rooting for his favorite teams, or watching one of his favorite movies.
While living and working in Midland, TX in 2022, Wes met Jing Liu. Their relationship blossomed and they married in August 2022. Wes and Jing shared a love of work, travel, and
family.
Wes is survived by his children, Cullen and wife Courtney Pryor, Duane and wife Taryn Pryor, and Sammi Jo Pryor; father, Roy Clayton Pryor; grandchildren, Georgia, Rosie, Kaidon, Kolton, Kilyn, and Ajayah. Brother, Doug and wife Gili Pryor; nephew, RC Pryor, and his wife, Jing Liu. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Pryor; late wife, Lisa Michelle Pryor; and
granddaughter, Ravyn Caldwell.
In remembrance of Wesley, friends and family are invited to gather together for a Memorial Service to honor his life on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary.
In this time of grief, we invite everyone who knew Wes to come together and remember the man who brought so much joy to our lives. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
