Virginia “Ginny” Talley passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 70. She was a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Virginia Irene Eddy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Roland and Margaret Eddy on January 31, 1955. She and her siblings grew up at 3014 Limekiln Pike in North Hills, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Talley on September 30, 2006.
Ginny ( everyone knew her as Ginny! ), met her future husband Glenn Talley at Abington High School in Abington, Pennsylvania. They were married at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Glenside, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1976. They moved from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma for work. They had two sons.
Ginny and Glenn were hard workers as well as devoted parents. Ginny was a great seamstress, cook, voracious reader, lover of American History, music lover and very involved Mom. And did I mention, she Loved her Philadelphia sports teams.
Ginny truly epitomized the word Love and Christ’s teaching of Love Your Neighbor. She was free with a kind word, and when appropriate, a sharp tongue! Hugs: she gave them freely and without restraint.
Ginny advocated strongly for her sons in school. Among many other things, she was deeply involved in Special Olympics!
Ginny is survived by her two sons: Geoffrey Albert (Al) Talley (wife Sara) of Blue Eye, Missouri and Charles Richard (CR) Talley; her sisters
Elizabeth (Liz) Eddy Myers and stepsister Marian McCaa Thomas; her brothers William (Bill) Arthur Eddy (wife Alice Fichandler) and Charles (Chuck) Everett Eddy (wife Catherine); and many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many, many friends.
Ginny’s legacy will live on in the memories of her friends and family. We’re glad to have known you, lived and done life with you, and we will miss you.
