Thomas Abraham was born on April 11, 1935, in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. He was the fourth son of the late Mr. Iype Chathanattu and Mrs. Annamma Iype, of the Chathanattu Valiyamannil family. He grew up along with his brothers and sisters in Anjilithanam, Thiruvalla. Thomas Abraham devoted his life to lead others to God, demonstrating the Lord's love to countless people. On Friday, August 13, 2021, Thomas Abraham went to be with the Lord, in the presence of his family. By his death, he was reunited with his brothers, the late V. A. Abraham, Joseph Abraham, and his sister, the late Saramma Zachariah.
In the late 1950s, Thomas Abraham surrendered his life to the Lord during a prayer meeting at a neighboring house. The Lord filled him with the Holy Spirit in those days and used him for the glory of God. He joined numerous servants of God in those early days in and around Anjilithanam, Mundiappally, and Kunnamthanam areas, spreading the gospel with a great passion for the Lord. The Lord even led him to go to distant locations in Kerala to pray for those in need, and who received healing. He was very much involved in spiritual matters and taught children's Sunday School at his home church, Sharon Fellowship Church in Mundiappally.
He married Aleyamma Philipose, daughter of the late Mr. Philipose, and Mrs. Annamma Philipose on January 20, 1966. The Lord blessed them with three sons and one daughter, Saji, Reji, Liji, and Joju Valiyamannil. Then in June 1997, Thomas Abraham moved to Oklahoma along with his wife and two of their younger children Joju Thomas and Liji Thomas. He faithfully worshipped the Lord with the people of God while supporting his family. Later his other children joined them in the US as well. Thomas Abraham was truly a man who feared the Lord and who kept his faith until the end.
Thomas Abraham used his life to lead others to God, showing many people throughout his life the love of the lord. He cherished his family and loved them endlessly. Even during the harder days of his life, he made sure to show his love and gratefulness to God to those around him. He was never afraid or ashamed to show the love he had for the Lord. He proved to live a life filled with God's glory and strength even during his last days.
Thomas Abraham lived his life as a testament to God's goodness in all circumstances. Thomas Abraham is survived by his wife Aleyamma Thomas, his oldest son Saji Thomas and his wife Bindu Sam and their children Hephziba and Heaven, his son Reji Thomas and wife Rebecca and their daughter Reya, and his daughter Liji Thomas and her children Jeslin, Jessica, and Joel, as well as his youngest son Joju Thomas and his wife Ligi and their three children Joel, Joshua, and Paul.
