It's with sad news that the family of 'Terry' Terrence Cecil Carty announces his passing on June 3, 2023 at the age of 81 years. He was born on Nov 1, 1941 to Cecil and Mary Carty in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Terry grew up, raised a family and worked in the oil and gas industry in Saskatchewan. His greatest passion was airplanes. He built and flew radio-controlled airplanes which led him to building and flying his own Ultra Lites. Terry's love of travel started with summers camping from BC to Manitoba, to eventually living and working in Texas, and retiring and living out his days in Yukon, Oklahoma. His adventurous soul touched many people with his love of life and witty sense of humor.
Terry was married a few times and found his true soul mates later in life. He will be remembered fondly by his two sons, Ward (Kathy) Carty, Corey (Cheryl) Carty; his grand and great grandchildren, Tasha (Duncan), Zeus and Zoey Styant, Laurisha, Sonja, Brooklynn, and Logan Carty, Jenness Carty, Dustin Goertzen, Colby ( Britainnie) Stacyszyn, and Katelyn (Dylan), Payton and Serenidy Besplug; one brother Patrick (Elaine) Carty, and one sister Myrna Vlug.
Terry's wishes were to have his ashes returned home to Canada. He also wanted you to remember him, not with sadness, but with a smile as you raise a toast with a good Irish Whiskey or a cold beer. Terry often had a simple but meaningful quote, so we have one for him..."The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot." Have a good flight.
