Terrel Wynn Stewart

Terrel “Terry” Stewart passed peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by family and  love, as he completed his earthly journey and moved into the next chapter of his spirit.

Terry lived with the deep conviction that family is created through love and choice rather than by blood alone. He is survived by his daughters, Elfreda “Katie” Baker, Lisa Stone, Teri Swift (Armond Swift), and Heather Spalding (Cassidy Spalding); his son-in-law, Layle Baker; his beloved grandchildren, Vincent Wilson, Liam Baker, Damien Beilschmidt, and Kerridwyn Lewis; his sisters, Janella Ackerman and Georgia Hinesley; and a wide and devoted circle of chosen family and friends whose lives were forever touched by his presence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaylynn Stewart; his son, Terrent Stewart; his grandson, Tyler Stewart; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Anthony Bottari; his father, Wynn Stewart; and his brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Hinesley and Denyse and Bruce Chalmers. He is now reunited with those who have gone before him, welcomed into their embrace.

In keeping with his generous spirit, Terry chose to donate his body to science, allowing his final act in this life to continue serving others.

A memorial service will be announced in the coming weeks.
