Teddy Ray Killman, age 60, passed away on June 18, 2025, in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
Teddy was born on July 21, 1964, in Anadarko Oklahoma, the third of six children-and a surprise twin, born to Sanford Killman and Barbara Warrior. He grew up in Tuttle, Oklahoma, and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1983, where he was active in football and track. Teddy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his '69 GTX. After high school, he worked on mobile homes for a couple of years before returning to Tuttle to be closer to family. Teddy grew up in a tight knit family and wanted to raise his kids in the same way. His kids, nieces and nephews grew up together. There was no such thing as extended family, and his house is where all the kids liked to hang out.
Teddy went on to work at Braum's farm for 27 years, a job he enjoyed and took pride in. He later spent eight years in the oilfield, refurbishing rigs, a time during which he worked closely with his son TJ, often riding together to and from the job. When the oilfield slowed in 2015, Teddy returned to Braum's. Some say it was because he got off early on Fridays and could go fishing.
Teddy was a collector, especially of guns and often said, "The one with the most toys wins." He loved to barter, wheel, and deal.
He met the love of his life, Missy at a party one night and as they say, the rest is history. They were married for 39 wonderful years. Together, they had two amazing children, TJ and Anne-Marie. The two enjoyed lake trips, cooking (Anne-Marie proudly considered him "Chef Boyardee"), woodworking, crafts, and riding the Polaris. Their greatest joy was going on adventures on the side by side.
As a father, Teddy was firm but always had a way of making situations funny. He was present and involved, often checking the kids out of school on Fridays to take them for back road drives where he'd make them find their way home, teaching them independence and direction. He taught his kids how to change tires, back in a boat, and read a tape measure. He was patient, especially when he wanted you to truly learn something.
As a Papa, Teddy was all heart; silly, fun, and always available. He often said that being a grandpa was the coolest thing, and he looked forward to retiring so he could be a "stay-at-home grandpa," always ready for visits from the grandkids.
Teddy never met a stranger and loved to dance. He was a force of nature, always showing up. He was one of the good ones, the kind of person who left a lasting impression wherever he went.
Teddy is survived by his wife of 39 years Missy Killman; son TJ Killman and wife Emmily; daughter Anne-Marie Sublett and husband Nick; granddaughter Raylee; granddaughter Paisley; granddaughter Olivia; grandson Kason; granddaughter Aryn; twin brother Eddie and wife Kim; brother Boyd Killman and wife Tammy; parents Barbara and Thomas Warrior; brother Billy Killman and partner Misty; brother Roy Killman and Valerie; sister Tonya Killman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends who became chosen family and extended family.
Teddy is preceded in death by his father Sanford Killman.
