Ted Shell, a beloved husband, devoted father, and respected geologist, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024, at his residence in Yukon, OK at the age of 70. Born on July 21, 1953, in Marshall, TX, to parents Charles and Charlene Shell. Ted was a compassionate and selfless man who touched the lives of many through his kind-hearted nature and unwavering love.
Ted led a fulfilling life, guided by his faith and love for the Lord. He found great joy and solace in spending quality time with his loved ones, and his devotion to his family was unparalleled. His wife, Ronda Shell, was his rock, and together they shared a bond that was built on love and were married for 45 years. A loving father, Ted cherished his two children, Amy Day and Steven Shell. He took immense pride in their accomplishments, providing unwavering support and encouragement in all their endeavors. Ted's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he adored his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and cherishing each moment spent with them.
Professionally, Ted excelled in the field of geology. With a bachelor's degree under his belt, he made significant contributions to the oil and gas industry. Ted's expertise and passion for his work were unparalleled, earning him the utmost respect from his colleagues.
Ted's most remarkable trait was his genuine care and willingness to help others. He possessed a generous and selfless heart, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Ted's charitable nature touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of compassion and kindness.
Ted is survived by with wife Ronda; children Amy Day and spouse Ryan, Steven Shell and spouse Natalie; grandchildren Samantha, Tyler, and Drew; siblings Todd Shell, Charlotte Soape, and Suzy and brother-in-law Rob Trimble; Mother-in-law Virginia Duke, brother-in-law Dennis Duke, and sister and brother-in-law Lydia and Mike Jaremko, along with several nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents Charles Shell and Charlene Thompson and father-in-law Ronald Duke.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate Ted's life. The service will be held at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary on February 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Ted Shell will forever be remembered for the love and warmth he brought to those around him. His legacy of compassion, devotion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
