Scott Matthew Short

Scott Matthew Short, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 61 in Yukon, Oklahoma. Born on June 20, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska to parents Donald and Judith Short. Scott was a devoted husband to his wife, Pamela Short, and a loving father to his daughters Megan Quinn, Brandi Day, and Sara Short. He always put their needs above his own.
Scott's magnetic personality and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone he met. Whether he was sharing a laugh with his daughters or offering a listening ear to a friend in need, he always showed compassion and empathy.
Scott was an avid fan of the Nebraska Huskers football team. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was working on his car, dancing to his favorite tunes, or relaxing by the lake and river. He was known for his infectious energy. Scott was always the life of the party, sharing inside jokes with his grandkids and showcasing his memorable 80's mustache.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Short; his daughters, Megan, Brandi, and Sara, and his son-in-law Eric, brothers Steve and Jim Short; grandchildren, Cameron, Kinzie, Kennedy, Eli, and Layla. His family meant everything to him, and the joy he found in spending time with his grandchildren brought light to his life. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Don Short and Judith Perez, and brother Jeff Short. Scott's passion for life, his love for his family, and his lively spirit will be deeply missed by all.
