March 24, 1936 – November 12, 2020

Sandra Jean Record Kadavy was born March 24, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma to Howard and Wilma Record. She passed away November 12, 2020, at the age of 84. Sandra graduated from high school in Enid, and then went on to graduate with a nursing degree. Sandra married Fred Kadavy February 7,1959. Three children were born while living in Bethany, Oklahoma: Cheryl, Carla, and David. Fred and Sandra built a home in Surrey Hills in 1970.

Sandra worked as an RN at Baptist Hospital. When she was not busy working part-time and raising 3 children, Sandra enjoyed sewing, crafting, watching OSU football and basketball on television, being a mom and later a grandma and great-grandma. Many summers were spent at Lake Hamilton in Arkansas with family and friends. Sandra was a member of First Christian Church of Yukon and The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.

Sandra is survived by daughter Cheryl Merritt and husband David, daughter Carla Kadavy, and son David Kadavy as well as grandsons Blake Merritt and wife Amanda and their children Reed and Grey, and Hunter Merritt and wife Peri and their children Sonny, Marshall, and Royce. She is also survived by sister Judy Acton and husband Jerry, along with many nieces, nephews, additional family members and friends. Sandra was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband Fred, and her parents.

Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and friend. We will miss you dearly. But we will see you again. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, November 17th, 11:00 A.M. at The Kingfisher Cemetery.
