Ronnie Dean Trammell left this world peacefully in the comforts of his home on April 19, 2023, in Edmond, OK at the age of 62. Following almost a three-year battle with ALS, Ronnie entered Heaven's Gates, healed and whole again.
Ronnie was born to parents Bobby and Joy Trammell on January 6, 1961, in Guymon, OK. He grew up in Gruver, Texas and loved spending time with friends, hunting, fishing, and playing football. Following his graduation from Gruver High School, he married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Bass, and they spent the next 43 years by each other's side. Each year was full of adventure, challenges, life lessons, and joy as they raised their four children, Karen, Ronnie, Katie, and Paul.
Throughout Ronnie's life, he was known for his love of family, friends, dogs, and the Oklahoma Sooners. His sense of humor brought everyone together and made him an easy person to turn to when things were tough in the home and workplace. Ronnie was a dedicated employee at DCP Midstream for over 43 years and was promoted multiple times to General Manager and even Vice President before his retirement. His heart of service for his community and those around him was evident in his involvement as a Mason. Ronnie will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.
Ronnie Dean Trammell is preceded in death by his father Bobby Trammell. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Trammell; mother Joy Trammell; children Karen and husband Darrell Hatfield, Ronnie and wife Gillian Trammell, Katie and husband Jason Dee, and Paul Trammell; grandchildren Sarah, Andrew, Camille, and Samantha; siblings Clif and wife Jane Trammell, Jesse Lewis, Tim and wife Ginger Lewis, David Johns and wife Shannon Shaw, Lisa Doolittle; and many other extended family and friends.
Ronnie's life will be remembered with a visitation on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon. A Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary with burial to follow at the Texola Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
