Momma he is coming home. Roger David Carey, Jr. passed away September 3, 2025 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 84.
Roger was a resident of Yukon for 29 years where he lived and married his childhood sweetheart. After being apart for over 40 years, Roger married Belva on May 30, 1997 in her church. From that day forward, they went on so many adventures together. They were great examples of what marriage should look like. You know they did it right when you would hear them both shout out together wonderbar with big smiles on their faces. We always knew they were excited for us.
Roger graduated from Crooked Oak High School, joined the Airforce where he served for fpir years, and took every opportunity to see as many places as possible. When he returned from the sevice he attended the University of Oklahoma for several semesters.
Roger was an incredible salesman. Throughout his career, he sold Insurance, vacuum cleaners, craftmatic beds, and cars for David Stanley Ford.
Roger is survived by his daughter Rauline Ammons Martinez (Joe); grandchildren Charity Rothenberg (Aaron), Chelsea Ammons-Yearby (Tre), Dylen Newton (Caleb Sweeney) and Jake Mathews; great grandchildren Natalie Mykynzy, Ruthie and Whitney Slaughter, Izaya, Riley and Aryan Rothenberg. Tre, Adriel and Simeon Yearby, Athena Newton, and the Sweeney Twins.
Roger is preceeded in death by his parents Roger and Artia Carey, and his beloved wife Belva.
A private service is being held in Roger's honor on a date in the near future.
