Richard Arthur Boughner

Richard Arthur Boughner passed away on November 25, 2022 in Yukon, OK at the age of 85. Richard was born in Shamokin, PA to Leon and Mary Boughner on August 28, 1937.
He entered the Navy in 1955 as a Radioman where he received an Honorable Discharge in 1958 as a Third Class Petty Officer. Richard began a career at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot Ships Parts and Control Center where he rose to the rank of Computer Operations Supervisor; he retired in 1988.

Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman while living in PA, and during baseball season he would be cheering on his beloved Red Sox!! Boy, did he love to draw! Anyone who knew Dick would have been a recipient of one of his cute drawings of Joe Cool, Popeye or Donald Duck to which he would autograph "Richard (Dick) Boughner 'All talent is from God!'" Richard trusted Jesus as his Lord and Savoir and was an active member of several churches in his lifetime but primarily at Calvary Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA where he sang in the choir and served as an usher. He ended his service to Jesus at Trinity Lutheran Church in El Reno, OKC.

Richard is survived by his lovely wife Janet; children Richie, Cindy, Lisa, Shelly and Jeff, and brother Gene along with many grand-children and great grandchildren.

Richard's legacy will live on in the memories of his friends and family and will be missed by all who loved him. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Trinity Lutheran Church 500 S Country Club Rd, El Reno, OK 73036.
