Rex Everett Gilworth Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2024 at the age of 71. Born on July 22, 1953, in Clinton, OK, to parents Rex Everett Gilworth, Sr and Dixie Glee Gilworth. Rex was a proud welder in the manufacturing industry, showcasing his skills and dedication throughout his career. Rex also adored his grandchildren, Casteil, Zed, and Nash, filling his life with joy and laughter. He found solace and enjoyment in cheering for the Yankees baseball team, betting on the current racehorses, fishing or playing frisbee golf outside, and spending time with his family.
With a heart full of love, Rex leaves behind his cherished daughters, Lacy Gilworth, Suthern and Caleb Nutty, and beloved son, Rhett Gilworth; grandchildren Casteil Wylee Layne Gilworth, Zed Everett Dale Sudderth, and Nash Don Nutty; extended family Pam Dirikson; and close friends like family Ricky Byerly and Chris Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Dixie Gilworth; grandchildren Magnolia Lucille-Hazel and Paladin Joy-Charles; and brother Lyle Gilworth.
In remembrance of his life, a Memorial Service will be held at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The ceremony will be filled with stories, laughter, and memories shared by those who knew and loved Rex.
Rex Everett Gilworth Jr. will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, and may his spirit find peace in the loving embrace of those who have gone before him.
