It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Phyllis Laveta Clark, who left us on April 17th, 2026, surrounded by family and love. She was 79 years old. Born on November 14, 1946, in Oklahoma City, OK and grew up in Bethany, OK graduated from Putnum City High School.
Her life was marked by marked by strength, resilience, complexity and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Throughout her life, she touched countless hearts with her generosity, compassion, and gentle spirit. Whether through her warm smile, her steady guidance, or her quiet acts of care, she made the world around her better. Our mother cherished her family above all else. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, a source of wisdom, and the heart of our home. Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down, the memories she created, and the love she shared so freely.
She worked hard for many years with Transportation Division at the VA Center in Norman, OK. Worked in accounting with her late husband John Clark growing Clark Drywall. She was a teachers aid in Phoenix, AZ with special needs children and worked for the Insurance Rating Bureau in Seattle, WA. She loved fishing, glamping, playing cards, dominoes, and spending time with her grandchildren - moments that brought her great joy.
Phyllis is survived by her 3 daughters: Denene Bradley, Kristi Ama, and Marcie Crawford, sisters Pam Butler and Karrie McIntyre. Grandchildren: Amber Bradley, Logan Ama, Johnathan Benham and Jamie McCallister. She is preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Clark, father Verne McIntyre, Mother Evelyn McIntyre and sister Anna Mae Smith.
A service to honor her life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10 AM at Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary at 201 E Main St Oklahoma, 73099. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to American Cancer Society. Her love will remain with us always.
