Peggy Jo Stone, a cherished mother, beloved sister, and respected member of the community, passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 97. Peggy was born on August 30, 1926, in Konawa, Oklahoma.
Peggy's beautiful life will be remembered and celebrated by her surviving son, Randall Stone, and her daughters, Elaine Stone and Connie Stone. Throughout her life, Peggy's greatest joy came from being surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy Jo Stone was a woman of resilience and dedication. She embraced life's challenges with unwavering strength and an indomitable spirit. After completing her high school education, Peggy worked as a glass plant laborer in the manufacturing industry. Her hard work and dedication inspired many, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Despite the demands of her career, Peggy always put her family first. She was a devoted mother who made countless sacrifices to ensure her children's happiness and well-being. Peggy's unconditional love and unwavering support will forever serve as a lasting legacy.
Peggy was proceeded in death by all seven of her siblings: Bertie, Loraine, U.L., Sanford, Claudia, Buddy and Mary; and also her grandson Michael.
She is survived by her son Randy and wife Patti Stone; daughter Elaine Stone; and daughter Connie Stone. Grand children - Stratton, Krystal, Randy, Jeremy, and Garrett. Great grand children - Kecia, Kayla, Justin, and Ava; and one Great-great grandson Micah.
Peggy Jo Stone's journey will be celebrated in a funeral service to be held at 10:00am on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Friends and family will gather to share stories, cherish memories, and honor Peggy's remarkable life. Following the service, a burial will take place at the Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, Oklahoma, where Peggy will rest peacefully, surrounded by the beauty and serenity of her hometown.
As we bid farewell to Peggy Jo Stone, let us remember the vibrant spirit and unwavering determination that defined her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her.
