Paula Jean Wright, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many. Paula left this world peacefully on February 6, 2024, at the age of 72. Paula was born on March 20, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alvin and Dorothy Snodgrass. Growing up in a loving household, she developed a strong bond with her family. She cherished her childhood memories and held them dear throughout her life. Paula had a heart full of compassion and always prioritized the happiness and well-being of her family.
After graduating from Putnam City High School, Paula embarked on a fulfilling career as an Assistant Treasurer in the Yukon Public Schools. She worked there for 30 years before retiring in June 2008. After retiring from Yukon Public Schools, she then went to work for Jerry Putnam (Putnam & Company, PLLC) where she retired from in May 2023. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to her work was truly commendable, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and colleagues. She took immense pride in her role, knowing that she was contributing to the future generations of students.
Paula found her true joy in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was lovingly married to her devoted husband, Jarvis Wright for 54 years. Together, they built a strong and supportive family. Paula's children, Randy Wright, and Amy Ziemba were a constant source of pride and joy for her. She found immense joy in watching them grow, succeed, and start families of their own.
Family was everything to Paula, and her love knew no bounds. Her grandchildren, Tyler Rodgers and Marisa Ziemba, held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Paula's love for the Lord was an integral part of her life. Her unwavering faith served as a guiding light, providing comfort and strength in times of need. She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. She found peace in knowing her anchor was in the Lord. She touched many people through her acts of kindness and selflessness.
In the hearts of those who knew Paula, her memory will forever live on. Her warm presence, kind soul, and unconditional love will be dearly missed by her husband Jarvis; son Randy Wright and wife Amy Rodgers-Wright, daughter Amy Ziemba and husband William Ziemba; grandchildren Tyler Rodgers and Marisa Ziemba; sister-in-law Marilyn Harris, brother and sister-in-law Keith and Susie Wright, brother and sister-in-law Kurt and April Wright, brother and sister-in-law Tim and Dawn Madden, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin Snodgrass and Dorothy Harris, father and mother-in-law J.B. and Laverne Wright, Brothers Mark Harris, and James (Jim) Harris, sister-in-law Patty Harris, sister-in-law Toni Wright, and sister-
in-law Laneta Madden.
The public is invited to pay their respects during a visitation and viewing on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, to honor and celebrate Paula's life. She will be laid to rest at the Frisco Cemetery.
