On May 21, 2026, Patsy Lou Pritchard entered Heaven's Gates where she joyously reunited with her beloved husband, Pritch, and son, Mike. "Pat" journeyed through 95 abundant years, cherished as a loving mother, a treasured grandmother and great-grandmother, steadfast friend to many along the way, and a devoted woman of faith. She was born on August 29, 1930, in Springdale, Arkansas, to Virgil and Wilma True. During her early years, Pat moved with her family across Arkansas and Missouri, where her father, a traveling minister, instilled in her a solid foundation of faith.
Pat graduated high school in Midwest City, Oklahoma, where she initially made her mark as a scorekeeper in a local bowling alley, a serendipitous meeting place where she ultimately met a dashing young man, N.L. "Pritch" Pritchard. Their union blossomed on November 1, 1953, marking the beginning of a love that endured for 63 cherished years until his passing in 2016.As a devoted mother, she nurtured her three sons-Stan, Mark, and Mike-with boundless love and encouragement. In those vibrant years, Pat worked diligently in the school cafeteria while her sons were young, later serving at the Putnam City Administration office. In 1972, she and Pritch would make their home in Yukon, Oklahoma, where her journey as Treasurer for the Yukon Public Schools began-a role she embraced passionately until her retirement, leaving an indelible mark on the community and the hearts of those she served.
Pat's passion extended far beyond the realm of finance; she was a devoted member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and later the Yukon Free Will Baptist Church, where her husband led the choir. Revered for her unwavering faith, she was present every time the church doors opened and volunteered generously for every event, embodying the spirit of service and community. Her thirst for further spiritual growth led her to the First United Pentecostal Church on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights, where she was blessed with a profound connection with dear friend and sister in Christ, Dana Green, who lovingly called her "spiritual mother."
Pat's unwavering loyalty to her family was expressed through her attendance at countless sports games, school functions, and church events, not only for her sons but for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She took immense joy in watching her family thrive, nurturing a legacy of love that will undoubtedly resonate through generations.
Pat Pritchard is survived by her sons Mark and wife Cathy Pritchard, and Stan and Barbara Pritchard; grandchildren Shannon McInnis, Pace and wife Amy Pritchard, Christopher and wife Jennifer Pritchard, Garrett and wife Camille Pritchard, Jillian and husband Jason Ball, and Allyson Pritchard; many great-grandchildren; one sister Kathryn Thomas; and numerous family and church friends like family.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband N.L. Pritchard, son Michael Pritchard, parents Virgil and Wilma True.
The family will gather to celebrate Pat's life with a Visitation on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10 AM - 2 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner in Yukon. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary with burial to follow at Yukon Cemetery.
Rest in peace, dear Patsy Lou Pritchard. Your light will continue to shine in the lives of those you loved. "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:28-30)
