Patricia Ann (Banta) Burton

Patricia Ann Burton, a beloved mother, educator, and friend, passed away on December 22, 2025, in Okarche, OK, at the age of 72.

Born on February 11, 1953, in Borger, TX, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Adell and George Banta.

She was raised in Borger alongside her siblings, where she graduated with the high school class of 1971, and where her journey of love and family began.

Shortly after graduation, she married Raymond Burton in the fall of 1972, and together they nurtured a beautiful family. Patricia was not only a dedicated homemaker but also found joy in working with preschool children. In her later years, she served as a Special Education Assistant at Woodward Public Schools, where her compassion and encouragement made a lasting impact on countless young minds.

Patricia's life was filled with love for her children Buddy Dean, Blake Deven, Brandon Daniel, and Daleena Breann and the joy they brought to her world. She also took great pride in being a grandmother to MaKenzie, MaKatlyn, Trinidy, Brianna, Jay, Emma, Landry, Michael, and Macie. Patricia also had a special bond with her beloved African Grey Parrott "Tulsa". The warmth of family gatherings and each shared moment will forever echo in their hearts.

Patricia was a faithful member of the Woodward Church of Christ where she taught Vacation Bible School and Bible Hour, volunteered with their benevolance program, and took time to visit those who were home bound. She was a living example of her faith which she passed on to her family.

Patricia is survived by her children Buddy Burton, Blake Burton, Brandon Burton, and Daleena Paradis; grandchildren MaKenzie Burton, MaKatlyn Burton, Trinidy Spoonmore, Brianna Burton, Jay Paradis, Emma Paradis, Landry Paradis, Michael Burton, and Macie Burton; beloved parrot "Tulsa"; along with her extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Burton; her parents Adell and George Banta; her infant daughters Chandra, Taneea, and Tareena Burton; her sister Terri Prock; and her brother Jerald Banta.

A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be held in the near future.
