Obituary

Oleta Lucille Williamson was born to Archie Benjamin and Elma Etta Hammond Williamson near Hardesty, OK on February 15, 1925. Oleta was the youngest of four children and was raised on the family farm. She graduated from Hardesty High School, and moved to Spearman, Tx for a while to live with cousins and work in a store. When her mother died suddenly, Oleta moved home to help her father on the farm.

It was in Hardesty she met and married Merle B. Pulver. Their district superintendent performed their marriage ceremony after the Sunday service on July 8, 1945. Together, Merle and Oleta raised three sons, and in the following yers, they served 13 churches, plus the Bartlesville District of the United Methodist Church. They were married 70 years.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Wilbur, her sister Eva Mae Van Buren, her brother D.C. Williamson, and by her husband, Merle. Those living to grieve her death and celebrate her new life are her sons: Merle Clovis and Ben, both of OKC, Dan and his wife, Bonnie of Bixby, OK. Oleta was dearly loved by her grandchildren: Karen Long and her husband, David, Jennie Kiner and her husband Kyle, Stephen Pulver, and Josh Pulver, and by her great grandchildren: Morgan, Anna, Garrett, and Caleb. Oleta is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Moore of Iowa, and by her 6 nieces and 2 nephews, and by all who knew and loved her in this life she lived so well.
