Nova Sophia Benton

Precious angel Nova Sophia "Fat girl, Biggie" Benton, age 14 months, joined the angels on December 14, 2020. She was born to parents Makala Simmons and Joshua Benton on October 2, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK. Nova's smile was contagious and would light up a room. Her blue eyes would steal your heart in a matter of moments. Nova was always on the go and loved to be in her daddy and momma's arms, as well as her Uncle Trenton. Nova's favorite thing to do was to be all up in the mix of everything, and she never missed a beat. Nova loved to tell everyone to "get out." Nova absolutely adored her "Aunt Sissy" Shelby and spent many cherished memories with her bubba Chevy. She was the light of all of her grandparent's lives. Although Nova's life was short, she was fearless and would keep you entertained for hours. She loved being the center of attention and having all eyes on her, she never disappointed with her putting on a show. Nova loved taking pictures and laughing at herself. Everyone says dynamite comes in small packages and that was our "Fat girl/Biggie." She was full of sass and had more character then her small body could hold. Anyone that spent any amount of time with Nova understood that she was the center of attention and had all the love in the world to give.

Those who await to see her again include her mother Makala Simmons, father Joshua Benton, sister Faith Rhyan Benton, brothers Beckham Lee Benton and Chevy Ace Hill; paternal grandmother Wendy Benton, Uncles Logan Benton and Trenton Flock, grandfather David Benton and Linda Box, and Shawn Flock; as well as maternal great grandmother Linda Logan, grandmother Adena Beasley and Joshua Robles, Aunt Shelby Beasley,and Uncle Kurtis Simmons. Those who have gone before include her paternal grandfather Stanley Dale Weaver and maternal grandfather Nathan Blankenship.
