Norma Jones-Lattimore Obituary

Norma Elizabeth Jones-Lattimore was born July 21, 1932 in the Bronx, New York. Norma was the daughter of James Norbert Jones and Elizabeth L Gray-Jones. Norma was the eldest sister of 5 siblings; brother Fredrick, and sisters Fannie, Edna, Thelma, and Dorothy.

Norma married James E. Lattimore Sr. in 1961. Norma was a person of many achievements, from her early years of elementary, junior high, and high school. From winning awards and graduating early from high school, her sister Fannie said, Norma was smart like that. Norma could do anything when she put her mind to it. Norma also graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Norma worked 28 years for New York City Health and Hospital Corporation at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, NY. Norma mastered her positions as Supervisor Administrator in Department of Psychiatry and Head Administrator as a Hospital Investigator where she retired. Norma also received the Certificate of Recognition in 1990 for Black United Fund of New York, Social Service Employees Union Delegates for Local 371 and DC 37, and volunteer service as an Executive Board Member for the Homeowners Association. Norma moved to Jersey after retirement and then on to Oklahoma.

Norma loved to watch TV; Lifetime was her favorite. She also loved to play games and puzzles on her computer. But the one thing she loved the most was dancing, mostly with her friends, great-grand nieces and nephews, and all the children.

Norma leaves behind a legacy of two children, James E. Lattimore Jr. and Desiree L Lattimore; grandchildren Gary, James III, Ericka, Semaj, Norbella, and Jamall; Great-grandkids Akeera, Baby Gary, Nakya, Dennis, Menya, Marquez, Tahliyah, and twins on the way; two brothers-in-law; eight nieces; nine nephews; 30 grand-nieces; 33 grand nephews; 5 generations of love and extended family.

Until we meet again, our beautiful angel, our love for you is held deeply in all our hearts.
