Narita Beckett Obituary

Narita (Rita) Maurine Beckett, 89 yrs, beautiful Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and “Mimi”, loved by all, was born November 18,1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dan and Mollie Weaver. She found peace, passing on July 19, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was hard-working both at home and outside of the home. She worked for several years at the Yukon Lumber Company, as well as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Her greatest pride, joy and success by far was being “Mimi”! As Mimi, she truly loved the time she helped raise children not limited to her own family but neighborhood children that became her family. Mimi’s huge heart, kindness and lovingness would often exceed, above and beyond, to care for others.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence (Jerry) Beckett (the love of her life), her parents Dan & Mollie Weaver, and Brothers Danny and Duanne Weaver.

She is survived by her only child and loving son Lawrence (Larry) Beckett (Wife Diana), Grandchildren Tanya Bernard (Husband Anthony), Michael Stevens (Wife Dominique), Tyler Stevens (Wife Krista), Wyatt Beckett and Dalton Beckett. Great-Grandchildren Seth Bernard (Wife Emma), Alex Bernard, Adam Stevens, Eliza Stevens, Preslee Stevens. Great-Great Grandchild Bayley Bernard. Sister Joyce Ostermeyer. Nieces Holly West (Husband Ken), Leslie Hatcher (Husband Lloyd), Debby Fisher (Husband Tom), Tammy Thompson, Brenda D’Errico. Nephew Russell Warren. Great-Nephews Tyler Smith, Christian Smith, along with many more Nieces, Nephews, extended Family and Friends.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025.
