Nancy Ruzicka Osterman, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 3, 2021 at the age of 65. Nancy was born to parents Rudolph and Lucille Ruzicka on January 15, 1956 in Okarche, Oklahoma. Growing up on a farm northwest of Yukon, she graduated from Yukon High School in 1974 and then went on to pursue a degree in Education from Oklahoma State University. She later graduated with her Master's Degree in Education and taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Yukon High School for 20 years where she touched many lives through FCCLA and served as Pom sponsor for many years. After retiring in 2018, she enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with her first granddaughter, Lucy. She is remembered for her love for her family, enjoying being in nature, and sewing.
Nancy met Danny Osterman in the 7th grade and they were later married on March 21, 1987 for 34 years. Together, they continued to operate the family farm that Nancy grew up on. They enjoyed traveling to many national and state parks, being outdoors, and cooking. Nancy will be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly.
Nancy is preceded in death by parents Rudolph and Lucille Ruzicka, and brother David Ruzicka. Those who wait to see her again include her husband Danny Osterman, daughter Jessica and her husband Justin Gore, stepson Jared Osterman and his wife Ashley Osterman, granddaughters Lucy and Abigail Gore, and grandson Owen Osterman.
Nancy's life will be remembered at a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. John Nepomuk Church in Yukon. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 14th of July, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM, and a prayer service starting at 6 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary.
