Myrtle Virginia Santin, a lifelong resident of Yukon, Oklahoma, entered eternal rest on May 19, 2026, at the age of 97. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 17, 1929, Myrtle was the daughter of parents James and Belinda (Irene) Moore, and later became a devoted wife to Raymond Santin, who predeceased her in 1991. Together, they navigated life's journeys, with Myrtle playing an essential role in raising their family.
Myrtle dedicated many years to her career in quality control at Western Electric, where her work ethic and dedication were admired by all. Upon retirement, she embraced her passions, including quilting, which brought her immense joy.
An active member of the Yukon community, Myrtle spent her days at the Dale Robertson Center, engaging with friends and partaking in arts and crafts. Her love for connection and creativity enriched her life and the lives of those around her. Her life included fond memories of fishing in the picturesque lakes of Colorado.
Myrtle and Raymond raised five daughters, Betty and husband Perry Vannoy, Peggy and husband Daniel Martinez, Virginia Santin, Bobbie Santin, Linda Santin and husband Vernon, and one son, Donald Santin. She was also a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren, though she mourned the loss of five. Her family continued to grow and flourish, later blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond Santin; parents James and Belinda Moore; and siblings, James Moore, Marvin Moore, and Gladys Rhoads.
Myrtle Santin's life will be honored at a Funeral Service on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary (201 E Main St, Yukon, OK 73099).
