Miller Lee Hines Griffith, age 15, passed from this life to the next on Tuesday, March 24th at 3:24 p.m. in Memphis, Tennessee, at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He was surrounded by love, with his mom and dad right there beside him.
Miller was funny, sharp, and endlessly witty. He was strong in a way that didn't need to be announced, capable far beyond his years, and deeply kind. People were drawn to him: his smile, his authenticity, the way he gave you permission to be exactly who you are, while expecting the same in return. To be loved by Miller was to be known. He loved his family and Jesus, fiercely. And he loved people, really loved them. Everyone who met him was changed. Miller had a way of pulling you in and making you feel like you mattered.
Born in Oklahoma City, Miller grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, in the Grove neighborhood. He loved playing soccer, football, and basketball and was a huge fan of the OU Sooners and OKC Thunder. He built World War II Lego sets with focus and joy, spent a lot of time working on his YouTube channel, and above all, he loved being with people. That's where he came alive.
Miller is deeply loved and survived by his mother, Miranda; his father, Kevin; his little brother, Fisher; his sisters, Dylan and Devyn; and his dogs, Lady, Miley Cyrus, and Frankie. He is also loved by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more friends than can be counted.
A celebration of Miller's life will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A private burial will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Miller's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
