Michael Keith Godfrey

Michael Keith Godfrey finished his earthly race on September 11, 2021, in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 66. Michael was born to parents James Godfrey and Joyce Cooper on July 13, 1955, in Danville, VA. He grew up in Danville and in his earlier years he enjoyed gardening; tomatoes and roses were his specialties. He loved to cook big meals and grill meats for his family and friends. Family Gatherings were his favorites. He also loved going to Myrtle Beach.

He met his spouse, Deborah, and they were married for 24 years. He raised 4 children whom he loved very much, and they loved him so deeply that words are completely inadequate. Throughout Michael's life, he was known for his integrity, whether it was raising his children or working. He worked as a supervisor at Archrock for 25 years, making a significant impact on everyone he worked with. Michael will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.

Michael Keith Godfrey is preceded in death by his wife Deborah; father James Godfrey; and brothers Ted "Teddy" Stallings and Allen "Dewayne" Stallings. Michael is survived by his mother Joyce Cooper; daughters Christy and husband Adam Privett and Bridget and husband Brent Dobbs; sons Dustin and Lisa Godfrey and Michael "Mikey" Godfrey; stepdaughters Angel Purtell Hughes, Sarah Purtell and Amber Ferguson; and sister Sherry Cook.

Michael has 14 grandchildren: Adam, Acacia and Ashton Privett; Brody and Drew Dobbs; Summer, Owen, and Ryker Godfrey; Garrett, Bryson, and Carson Hughes; Cruz and Keaton Ferguson, and Bjornie Bear Purtell.

Michael's life will be celebrated on September 24, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary.
