Marilyn Eleanor Baumann (Mikkelson) passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 90. Marilyn was born to parents Carl and Alice Mikkelson on August 21, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI. She grew up in Milwaukee, WI and loved to play music and dance. She met her spouse Roy Baumann and they were married on March 21, 1952. Together they raised 4 children whom they loved very much. Throughout Marilyn's life, she was known for her cooking and love of music. Marilyn enjoyed playing the violin, gardening, and making her favorite red velvet cake. She worked as a research assistant for years, then left the position to raise her family. She participated as a volunteer in numerous church groups, Girl Scouts, Children's Dance Theater, school organizations, and other civic organizations while her children were growing up. Upon returning to employment, she enjoyed teaching music for several years, and then worked as a school psychologist for 15 years. Marilyn will be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly.
Marilyn Eleanor Baumann is preceded in death by her daughter Joanne Fredrickson, son John Baumann, parents Carl and Alice Mikkelson, and brother Fred Mikkelson. Marilyn is survived by her husband Roy Baumann, son James Baumann, daughter Janet Baumann, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn's life will be remembered on Friday, June 5th, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. A live recording of the service will be available. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
