Mrs. Mariamma Abraham was born to late K.C. and Chachiamma Kuriakose from Karikottu family, Kurichi, Kerala India on March 5th, 1950. She was brought up in the strict Pentecostal faith. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the young age of 10. From the age of 10, she has been a strong Christian spreading the love of Jesus whenever she can. The Lord filled her with His Holy Spirit at the age of 14 and other spiritual gifts and ever since she has been worshiping the Lord in spirit and truth. She was a faithful believer for the Lord until she was called home.
On February 1st, 1968, she married her beloved husband, late Mr. C.I. Abraham son of late Mr. P. I. and Elizabeth Kochitty. Together they had a wonderful marriage and were very useful for the Kingdom of God.
Mrs. Mariamma Abraham is known as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and much more. She was a woman of many skills. But, most importantly, she was a prayer warrior. She had the opportunity to touch many lives and bring numerous souls to Christ. She moved to the United States in 1998 to be closer to her family. She was an active and faithful member of IPC Hebron of Oklahoma. She was a true worshiper, diligent prayer warrior, and an exemplary encourager. She prayed for the lives of both young and old.
In 1994, Mrs. Mariamma was in a horrible car accident. During her recovery, she spent time with her family in India and shared the gospel with her loved ones. She has been through a lot of difficult times in her life. Even in the midst of her weakness, she was still an anchor for those around her. She continued to strengthen others through her weakness. During her time in the States, she was able to become a U.S. citizen. In her free time, she wrote numerous songs.
Mrs. Mariamma Abraham is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Thomas (Pheby) and husband Babu Thomas, son Abraham C. Abraham (Finny), and wife Sheena. She also was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Benita, Jijo, Brinta, Kevin, Briyana, Tabitha, and Ezekiel. She was fortunate to see her great-grandchild Ezra. She also survived by her siblings K. K. Chacko, K. K. Joseph, K. K. Skariahkutty, late Sosamma.
Her favorite song was “enikkente yeshuvine kandaal mathi” and her continuous scripture quote was “അതുകൊണ്ടു മഹാ പ്രതിഫലമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ധൈര്യം തള്ളിക്കളയരുതു.” Hebrews 10:35.
