Maria Ana Ocon de Hernandez

July 13, 1943 ~ May 16, 2023 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Obituary

María Ana Ocon de Hernandez was born on July 13, 1943, and passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 79 years.  Maria Ana, known to her grandchildren as "Tita," was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. María Ana had an undying devotion for her family, God, music, and husband Felipe. Her love and faith were foundational in all her trials and hardships through out her life, particularly the last 5 months. A very strong and resilient woman, she grew up in a humble background and raised 4 daughters and 2 sons, a task not for the faint of heart. Throughout the years, she did her best to instill her same resilience, faith, and strength in her family. Her fighting spirit was very evident in her final months in her battles to overcome a Covid infection which put her in the ICU for 5 months. Though no parent is perfect, the quality of a mother and woman of God that she was reflected tremendously by the love and support of her daughters, husband, brother, and grandchildren who remained at her side every step of the way in her final days as she made her way to meet with God and find her rest.

She will be dearly missed and the family will just not be the same with her spot vacant. Her memory and resilient spirit, however, lives on in our hearts and our lives. Her story will continue to be written and told for generations to come. Her life is forever a reminder to us that death is not the end, but merely an exit ramp onto a new journey.

Forever in our hearts, go in peace Tita. One day we'll see you again.

Maria Ana is preceded in death by her parents Pablo Ocon and Carmen Vazquez, and son Jesus Garcia. She is survived by her loving husband Felipe Hernandez; children Elsa Garcia, Magali Garcia, Alma Garcia, Fernando Garcia, and Zulema Ocon; grandchildren Erick Macedo, Julianna Macedo, Samuel Macedo, Anthony Ramos, Joel Salazar, Christopher Salazar, Mireya Juarez, Ivette Garcia, Ramon Jr. Garcia, Richard Venegas, Israel Venegas, Edgar Venegas, Victoria Casas and Gael Garcia; great grandchildren Julissa Juarez, Ayden Ayala, Bella Ayala, Fabian Ayala, Samantha Macedo, Brianna Macedo, Jasmine Macedo, Antonio Venegas, Abigail Venegas, Esias Venegas, Elyjah Venegas, Kaiden Venegas, Kaysen Venegas, and Jose Israel Venegas; siblings Rogelio Ocon and Alejandra Ocon; and many other extended family and friends.
