Dr. Margaret Ann Sorenson, age 72, of Oklahoma City, OK passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday November 19th, 2025. Dr. Sorenson was born on October 30th, 1953 to Henry Arnold Sorenson and Dorothy Martha (Helebechuk) Sorenson in Canton, OH. On May 23rd, 1971, Margaret graduated from Esterville High School. On June 30th, 1978 in Davenport, IA, Dr. Sorenson graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Margaret lived in Oklahoma City for the last 40 plus years, serving the community in both her professional and personal life. She spent countless years serving with CASA supporting the children of Oklahoma during times of crisis. In 2007 she was awarded the Rena Ellis lifetime achievement award for the time she dedicated to the organization. She loved her work and enjoyed the thousands of relationships she developed while seeing patients at her chiropractic practice. Helping people heal from injuries and regain the energy and health to live a full life was her passion. A list of the awards and the reasons she earned them over the last 40 years could fill an entire article. Her real reason for living though was clear, the love she had for her family and the time she spent with them. She loved to host friends and family at her home, treating them to all the incredible food she made. She deeply valued the time she spent with family particularly her nieces and nephews. They quickly changed her name forever to Doc, she loved each of them uniquely and treated them like her children. Countless roadtrips, gifts, dinners, rounds of golf, movies (most of which she had no interest in seeing), attending events and many other actions showed how much she adored them. Margaret lived her life with passion and energy that was rooted in her faith in Jesus and the love she had for her family.
Margaret is survived by her siblings Henry (Lana) Sorenson, Rosemarie (Jeff) Croner, Michael (Cindy) Sorenson, Mark (Stacy) Sorenson, June (Wayne) Neal, Karen Demuth, Annette Dalen, nieces and nephew, Hohn Sorenson, Lee Sorenson, Jessica (Kevin) Cherland, Lindsey (Brandon) Andrews, Mekala (Jon) Johnson, Andy Sorenson, Shelby (Jeremy) Olson, Colby (Sarah) Sorenson, Kelsey Sorenson (Christopher), Grant (Ashley) Rawlings, Amanda Rawlings, Jake (Marina) Spongberg, Madison (Tanner) Holland, Pete (Danielle) Kelloway, Nathan Demuth, Haley (Nate) Moeller, Logan (Emilee) Dalen, and many many great nieces and nephews.
