Margaret Ann Owens, a loving military wife, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. She was born on October 20, 1937, in Cuero, Texas, and was a child of the Great Depression. She graduated from Gore High School in 1956 and Enid Business College in 1957. She married Walter Jackson Owens on March 10, 1958 and lived a life full of love, kindness, and creativity. She worked for numerous companies as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement in 1999.
In her free time, Ann indulged in her creative passions, finding solace in cake decorating, crafting porcelain dolls and ornaments, arranging flowers, sewing doll clothes, and creating Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Her artistic talents brought joy to those around her and left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her favorite hobby by far was reading.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Lee Martin; mother, Luella Martin; husband, Jack Owens; great-grandson, Eamon Orr; brothers-in-law, Gerald Owens, Clint Bonnewell and Don Albright; nephew, Martin Owens and niece, Tracy Bonnewell.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration. Ann will be remembered for her selfless devotion to family, quiet spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her artistic talents that brought beauty into the world. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she shared so generously throughout her life.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Ann's life will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 2:00 pm, at Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary. Friends and family are welcome to gather and pay their respects to a woman whose creativity touched the lives of many.
