Margaret Mary (Paul) Mandell

Margaret Mary Mandell passed away on March 29, 2025, in Yukon, OK at the age of 77. Margaret was born to parents Mildred and Willard Paul on March 15, 1948 in Lima, New York.

She grew up in Rochester, New York alongside her siblings Bonnie, Billy, Pat, and Ian where she attended school. Following high school graduation, Margaret married Phillip Mandell and from that union was blessed with three children Phillip Raymond, Amber Fiona, and Matthew Glenn. She was a loving mother who was always there for her children. They were her world. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Pop Pop, which was one of her favorite roles of all.

Throughout Margaret's life, she was known for her love of animals, especially her dog Nordo. Drinking hot tea with a side of Whoppers candy was a daily treat for her. Margaret loved the show Heartland, playing solitaire, and had a natural talent for drawing as well.

What's interesting is she didn't get her drivers license until age 38, then went on to be a school bus driver for a decade. Seeing the students every day is what she loved most about her time driving for Avon Public Schools.

Margaret will be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly.

Margaret Mary Mandell is preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Willard Paul; and brother Paul Paul.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Amber Kuhny and husband Thomas; son Matthew Mandell; son Philip Mandell and wife Sandy; grandchildren Alex Kuhny, Nathan Kuhny, Haeleigh Mandell, and Allison Kuhny; great granddaughter Isabella Kuhny; sister Bonnie; sister Pat; brother Billy; and brother Ian; along with her dear friends Ashely Brown, Tarah Wyatt, and Holly Kelley.

Margaret will be laid to rest in a peaceful green burial graveside at Yukon Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
