On February 13th, 1995, Luise Ry Christensen was born in Aarhus, Denmark to Brian Christensen and Karen Jorgensen. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Texas with her father and sister. Her early life was fraught with troubles, however, she made it through, thanks to help from family and friends, and of course, Bailey, the pugly love of her life and best friend. Luise was silly and funny and could even be the life of the party. She surprised people because she never backed down from a dare!
In her 20s, Luise moved to Oklahoma. Luise followed her heart through a variety of careers helping everyone she could along the way. She worked as a prison guard, a butcher, a toddler teacher, a dog trainer, a nurse assistant, and more. Her favorite job by far was dog grooming. Lu was talented and passionate about creatively caring for canine coats.
God, music, and art were her constant companions. She listened to praise music every time she got the chance. Her faith guided her through some of the darkest times in her life. She used her talents in visual art and music as creative outlets to nourish her soul.
On the morning of May 3rd, 2022, at 27 years old, Lu gave life to four other people by donating her heart, liver, and both kidneys. We will remember her as kind and empathetic, with a good moral compass. We will remember how she wanted to help everyone in any way she could, and we will continue doing the same and remember her when we serve.
When we look at little kids and animals, we can remember how loving, understanding, and just plain fun she was. We can remember how she loved to look sharp and ALWAYS smelled good. But most of all, we can remember the beautiful strong Danish girl who deeply loved others.
She is survived by her sister, Rikke Christensen and Ashlynn; Rikke's husband, Cole Selman; niece, Lille Selman; girlfriend, Sarah Bailey-Price; and dog-daughter, Bailey.
