Lauren McFarland Obituary

Lauren Marie McFarland, 35, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, leaving behind an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born on May 22, 1990, Lauren was the beloved daughter of Lisa Kreps (Muse) and Timothy Tanner. She was raised in a loving and blended family alongside her step-parents, Kenny and Lori, and siblings, Justin, Jeremy, Hunter, Chase, Jayden, Brittany and her baby sis, Moo (Megan), where the roots of family and connection began to shape the person she would become.

Lauren lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an undeniable warmth that enveloped everyone she encountered. She had a playful, funny spirit that those closest to her will never forget. She brought light into ordinary moments and had a way of turning even the simplest days into cherished memories. She loved freely and immensely, giving everything she had to the people who meant the most to her.

Lauren shared a special and lasting friendship with her best friend, Christina-her quiet counterpart and perfect balance. Together, they formed a bond that brought out the best in one another, each adding something the other needed in a way only true friendship can.

Lauren never met a stranger. Her bubbly and inviting personality made others feel instantly at ease, as if they had known her for years. Her laugh was loud, infectious, and constant. The kind that filled a room and made everything feel brighter. It reflected her joy for life and her ability to lift others up simply by being herself.

Above all else, Lauren's heart belonged to her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Zack, and a deeply loving mother to her children, Tierney, Kinzlee, Jaxon, Paisley, and Rylee. She tirelessly went above and beyond to ensure they felt cherished, supported, and deeply loved. She was, in every sense of the phrase, a "super mom." Always present, always advocating, and always loving with her whole heart. Her children were her world. She found the greatest joy in watching her babies grow and find their own place in the world. She was overjoyed at the news that she would soon become a grandma for the first time and had already decided to be called "Lolly," embracing that next chapter with excitement and love.

Lauren treasured her time with Zack, especially their date nights and the thrill of calling in to radio shows together to win tickets. Something they turned into their own special tradition (and one they were surprisingly good at). Moments like those reflected the joy she found in companionship, shared experiences, and simply living life by his side.

Lauren leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to live on through her children, her husband, her family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her time here was far too short, she lived fully and loved deeply. Her life is one to be celebrated-a life filled with laughter, devotion, and unforgettable memories-a lasting reminder to hold tightly to the moments that matter most.

Lauren is preceded in death by her grandma, Cindi Hernandez and nephew, Caleb Forsythe.
