Larry Melvin Tiller Jr. was known to everyone as Mel. He was born December 5, 1974, to Larry Melvin Tiller Sr. and Shirley Tiller. He graduated from Del City High School in 1994 and went to work for the NAPA Auto Parts Company where he has worked for the past 28 years. Mel started work as a "picker" in the warehouse and advanced through five additional positions before his most recent position as Inventory Controller.
He grew up a city boy and met a country girl named Kylie in the summer of 2007. They dated for 3 years before they were married on May 20, 2011. Mel loved his new blended family and would do anything to make certain they were safe and provided for. Always the life of every event, he lived to make people smile and laugh. A lover of puns and dad jokes, Mel was always helping everyone see the lighter funnier side of life. Mel was the ultimate fan of OU Football and wasn't shy about sharing this with anyone.
Mel stepped into heaven on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Nina Lewis, and Homer and Ellen Tiller, his father and mother-in-law J.W. and Susie Garr, his aunt Jo, and his uncle Dale and Aunt Joy.
