Kirk Eugene Charlesworth, 65, of McAlester, OK, passed away peacefully in Yukon, OK, on June 17, 2026. Born on May 11, 1961, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Kirk lived a life marked by love, kindness, and dedication to family and friends. He spent the last 18 years with his wife, LeeAnn, living a life of camping, great breakfasts, and quiet coffee in the mornings. They had a love that could be seen in everything they did. Kirk referred to Lee as his soulmate. Those who knew him will remember how he could turn even the simplest morning into something special. He will leave a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will truly be missed.
Kirk worked as a lead technician at AAR Aircraft Service of Oklahoma and took great pride in his job and enjoyed his work family. He cherished his time on the porch with his brother Kris and great conversations with his dearest friend Danny. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, hanging out with Lee, more fishing, and chasing Sasquatch. Kirk enjoyed old Western movies and history and was always up for a good Bible debate. He also enjoyed a good Louis L'Amour book. He especially cherished his time off spent with his partner in life, Lee, creating memories that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Verl Charlesworth, and his lil' buddy Justin Canterbury. He is survived by his wife, LeeAnn; mother, Mariellen Charlesworth; brother Kris Charlesworth; niece and nephew, Hunter and Elizabeth; sister Kimberly (Lynn) Phillips; niece Aundrea Cervantes; daughter, Mattie (Gunnar) Mullen; grandson, Shooter; son, Nate (Reba) Charlesworth; grandchildren, Emma, Waylon, and Grayson; bonus daughter, Christie (Kevin) Crawford; grandchildren, Hayden, Rylee, Cullen, and Isabelle. bonus daughter, Dana Canterbury, granddaughter, Addison Canterbury.
A celebration of Kirk's life will be held on September 5, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Vega Lake in Collbran, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor a life well lived.Though deeply missed, Kirk's love, laughter, and legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
