Kehlani was born to parents Serenity McClendon and Ethelwaldo "Rico" Rodriguez, Jr. on July 12, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She loved Baby Shark, Minnie Mouse, and baby dolls. Kehlani was a happy child, full of joy, who loved people, and loved to play. She was a precious gift, who will be forever loved and remembered.

Kehlani Joy Rodriguez is preceded in death by her grandmother Tanisha McClendon; grandfather Ethelwaldo Rodriguez; Uncle Chad Khlinger, Jr.Kehlani is survived by her Mom Serenity McClendon; Dad Ethelwaldo "Rico" Rodriguez, Jr.; siblings Cadalyah, Gracelynn, Anyia, Azzariah, Amir, Angelique, and Myles; grandmother Ivette Gonzalez; along with her extended family and friends.

A private service was held in Kehlani's honor.
