Judy Benhardt Obituary

Judy C. Benhardt was born on January 18th, 1942, in Hillsboro, Kansas to Anton and Caroline Navrat. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Calvin E. Benhardt on June 16th, 1962, in Ramona, Kansas.

The newlyweds lived in Emporia where Judy attended Vernon’s cosmetology school and graduated with her cosmetology degree. She worked as a hair stylist for several years. In 1965, they moved to Herrington, Kansas where they had their first child, Rhonda. In 1968, they relocated to Jefferson City, Missouri where they had their second child, Russell. They finally relocated permanently to the Oklahoma City area in August 1970 where they had their third child, Randall. Judy's final residence was in Yukon, Oklahoma.

During Judy’s lifetime, she enjoyed raising her children and attending their many activities. She was a member of Our Lord's Lutheran Church where she had many friends and supported the church through numerous volunteer activities. Judy loved to travel, shop, play Pinochle card games and slot machines, and work in her garden. Judy was a faithful servant of the Lord and a dedicated wife and mother. She will be remembered for her fun, ornery personality and quick wit fueled by her Polish heritage.

Judy is survived by her husband, Calvin; three children, Rhonda Morse of Yukon, Oklahoma, Russell Benhardt of McKinney, Texas, and Randall Benhardt of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters Betty Krause of Kimberling City, Missouri and Helen Moon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 11 cousins; nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.

The family requests donations in Judy’s name to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Foundation at www.ipffoundation.org as an expression of sympathy and respect instead of flowers.
