Joe Warren Rollins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away
peacefully on November 12, 2023, in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was born on December 14, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was adopted six months later by William Alvin (W.A.) and Moray Rollins (McNew).
Joe was a man with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, particularly when it came to farming, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors near the lake. He loved music, particularly singing, and was a gifted baritone. He spent many years singing in church as well as with a country gospel ensemble, with whom he traveled throughout the southern United States.
Throughout his life, Joe exhibited a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He was the proud owner of Joe Rollins Hardwood Floors, where he poured his passion for craftsmanship into every project. Joe's dedication to his craft not only brought him professional success but also earned him the trust and admiration of his clients.
Joe's memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Jean Rollins. One of Joe's greatest joys in life was being a father. He leaves behind his son, Joshua Rollins, and wife Cynthia, as well as his daughter, Lindsey Rollins. Joe's love, guidance, and unwavering support will forever be imprinted on their hearts. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Braiden, Avery, and Hunter, whose lives have been enriched by his wisdom and affection.
Later in life Joe was blessed to find his birth siblings, Diane, Roger, Mark, and Oleva. His
connection with his sisters quickly became one of his greatest joys, sharing both laughter and life's challenges with them. Joe's extended family, including his cherished cousins, Bill, Elizabeth, David, Steve, Linda, Jeff, Deborah, Chuck, Claudia, and Jerry, also mourn his loss and cherish the fond memories shared with him throughout the years. He will be forever missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie, Donald, Daniel, and Sandra, who formed strong bonds of kinship and shared many happy moments with him.
A Memorial Service to honor Joe's life will be held Tuesday November 28th at 10:00am at the Messiah Lutheran Church located at 3600 Northwest Expy in Oklahoma City providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together, pay their respects, and share stories of his remarkable life.
Joe Warren Rollins will forever be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and zest for life. His legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched.
