Jerid David Booze passed away January 23rd 2021, at the age of 43. Jerid was born to parents Jon Booze and Laquetta Alexander on November 5th, 1977, in Shawnee, OK. He grew up in El Reno, OK and loved spending time with his family and friends. Jerid was known as a fun, free-spirited person with the best laugh and a contagious smile. He enjoyed spending time outside, driving around in his jeep or going to the lake with friends. Jerid was a great cook and loved trying out different recipes, but wouldn't mind taking a break from cooking to eat his mom's super supper and cherry cream pie or take a call from his dad with whom he talked daily. Jerid was meticulous and organized, some would say overly organized. This served him well in his career. Jerid worked in the Oklahoma County Title and Deed Department for several years. He also worked as a Land Analyst at XTO Energy. He became a Right of Way Agent for Stateside Right of Way Services and later took these skills as a Right of Way Agent to ORC.
Jerid was preceded in death by his sister Shanda Barnes, paternal grandparents Dwain and Carolyn Booze, his maternal grandparents Albert “Curly” and Lynn Jordan, and his Uncle Creig Booze.
He is survived by his mother Laquetta Alexander and husband Phil, father Jon Booze and wife Sharon, sisters Rachel Alexander and Shaina Lamb (Jake) & step sister Teri Williams (Brian). Others include nephews Ashton Hoerman and Jenson Lamb, nieces Addisen Hoerman, Madelyn and Charlotte Lamb, aunts and uncles Cathy Whitaker (Bob), Deniece Ditzler (Eddy), Lesa Adkisson (Randy), Michael Booze, and Kaye Ditzler and numerous cousins including Linda Hurley, Greg Vincent, Jordan Adkisson and Meagan Ivie.
Jerid's life will be celebrated on January 28th, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary, Yukon, Oklahoma. Masks are required for those in attendance.
