Jean Ann Widdifield, a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born on May 15, 1956, in the United Kingdom to James (Gene) and Nancy Widdifield.
Jean Ann's unwavering love and dedication to her patients made her an exceptional nurse. She pursued her education and earned an Associate's Degree, specializing in nursing, driven by her innate desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she cared for. Jean Ann embarked on her nursing career with unwavering dedication, committing her talents to Park View Hospital OB Department & Russell-Murray Hospice, where she selflessly served patients in their most vulnerable moments.
Throughout her esteemed career, Jean Ann became known for her compassion and the genuine connections she formed with her patients. Her warm smile, gentle touch, and empathetic words provided solace to those in need. Jean Ann's ability to make individuals feel valued extended beyond humans; she also incorporated her Shelties, Daisy & Lilly, as therapy dogs into her care, bringing moments of comfort and joy to those she attended to.
Jean Ann cherished her role as a wife and a daughter. She shared a loving bond with her spouse, Gary (Curly) Curtis, and they navigated life's joys and challenges together. She also cherished the guidance and support provided by her parents, James and Nancy. The memories they created together will forever live in their hearts.
Jean Ann Widdifield is preceded in death by her parents, James Widdifield and Nancy Widdifield.
Jean is survived by her spouse, Gary (Curly) Curtis. Her two sons Phillip and David along with a grandson; two sisters - Robin Kennedy and Christie Sprong and husband, Don; and niece Alyssa Morris and husband, Zack.
Jean Ann's life will be remembered on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Ingram, Smith & Turner. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
Jean Ann Widdifield's legacy as a compassionate registered nurse, caregiver, and advocate for all those in need will continue to inspire and touch the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and patients whose lives she enriched through her loving spirit and unwavering dedication.
