Jayce Ray Garza

Jayce Ray Garza was born on his brother Jordan's birthday on February 6, 2022, to Ashley Marie Flemings and Erick Moreno Garza in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born early at 23 weeks, weighing in at 1 pound and 5 ounces and reaching a length of 13 inches. On June 30, 2022 at the age of 4 months, Jayce gained his angel wings after fighting a courageous health battle.

While Jayce's life began earlier than most, he was so strong that he shortly got to join his mom at home. Jayce's mom was his heart, soul, and world. She always had to be by his side at all times. He was a momma's boy through and through. 

Jayce had a unique little personality from the very start. In order to sleep, he required both his favorite music and being held in his mother's arms. His favorite songs were "If I Didn't Love You" by Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean, and "Drowning" By Chris Young. 

Jayce is survived by his mother, Ashley Marie Flemings; father, Erick Moreno Garza; siblings, Kimberly, Jayden, Diamond, Jordan, and Sofia Garza; grandmothers, Francis Karen Garza, Rosie Garza; grandfathers, Daniel Ray Flemings, Erik Garza; great grandfather, Rickey Dean Barrow; aunts, Amber Ranae Flemings, Dalena Smith; uncles, Danny Dean Barrow, Larry Mitchell, Anthony Garza, Chris Garza, Adrian Garza. 

Jayce is preceded in death by his sister, Mia Marie Flemings, and great grandmother, Vickie Sue Barrow.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Services are lovingly donated by the Sleeping Angels Foundation, partnering with Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary.
