Jacob John

Mr. Jacob John, affectionately known as Irin to his parents, close family, friends and "Papa" to his family, was born on January 28, 1964 in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. He was the second of three children to his beloved parents, K.I. John and Mariamma John. He spent his childhood in Doha, Qatar and moved to Kerala, India for school. He graduated from high school and went on to receive a diploma in Pharmacy. He was a registered Pharmacist in Kerala, India. In his childhood he was raised in a Jacobite family, and he later had the privilege of accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior in his early 20s, and later received water baptism. He worshiped the Lord along with the saints at Mallappally Brethren Assembly.

He married the love of his life, Renny Philip, daughter of K.P. Philip and Annamma Philip from Kumbazha, Kerala on July 3, 1995. The Lord blessed them with three children Davis, Dennis and Rebecca. He worked in Doha from 1988 to 1996. In 1999 they moved to Kuwait as a family.

In 2005, Jacob and his family immigrated to the United States and made Rock Hill, South Carolina their home. He was a hard-working man that did everything to support his family in various ways. They started a church at their home with only a few members, and Rev. David Scheria served as the pastor for 8 years. Jacob and his family helped many other families who migrated to South Carolina from India to establish their new life in the United States. In 2020, the family moved to Yukon, Oklahoma to be close to their relatives. International Pentecostal Assembly was their place of worship and has been a strong support system for them.

Jacob was a loving and caring person to his wife and children. He loved going on road trips with his family and traveled across the United States. During the last four years he was not able to travel much due to his health condition. He was a man of few words but a big heart for his family. He was a good steward of all the resources that the Lord had provided him. The Lord, in his sovereign plan, called his beloved son home on February 13, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Isaac John, Elvin John and is survived by his wife Renny and three children Davis, Dennis, and Rebecca, father-in-law K.P. Philip and mother-in-law Annamma Philip.
Jacob was a quiet, loving and humble man. His family loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.

Jacob's life will be remembered with a Memorial Service on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 6:30 PM at International Pentecostal Assembly. His Homegoing Service will be Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:30 AM at International Pentecostal Assembly with burial to follow at the Yukon Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.
