Howard Elliott Obituary

Howard Dale Elliott, 62, a larger-than-life, charismatic, unmistakable one-of-a-kind man departed this life suddenly on September 4, 2021.

Howard was born in Elk City, Oklahoma to Juanita (Elliott) Lenhart and Marvin Elliott on March 12, 1959. He was the oldest of their three children. Howard was a dutiful oldest son and wonderful brother. He began working at the age of 13 to help his mother. Howard lived in many places in central and western Oklahoma, as well as the Texas panhandle, growing up and spending as much time as he could at his grandparents' farm in Lookeba, Oklahoma.

In 1977, Howard graduated from Yukon High School where he met the love of his life, Janice Lee Harmon, whom he married in 1978. Howard doted on Janice and always referred to her as his best friend. This man possessed an unrelenting drive and determination to succeed, which were matched only by his intelligence; there was nothing Howard could not do and little he did not have. Over the years, Howard worked in the oil field, was a volunteer fireman, auto repair professional, body shop owner and extraordinaire, master gardener, farmer, all-around handy-man, and much more. In 1991, he began Quality Car Care, serving dealerships around Oklahoma where he made many friends over the years. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and loved spending time at home outside. Howard was a friend to all and immeasurably generous with his time and talent. Howard gave his absolute best in everything he did and expected nothing less from those around him. He had an irresistible and captivating persona that drew you in, usually with one of his catchphrases like "let me tell ya something!" or "what are ya doin'?!" Howard was always ready and willing to help anyone. Second only to Janice, the absolute greatest joys of Howard's life were his daughter Jamie, and granddaughter Ellie Grace. Nothing and no one brought a brighter, bigger smile to his face than his three girls whom he loved endlessly. He desired to do, and successfully did, anything that might conceivably bring them joy.

Howard is survived by his wife Janice Lee (Harmon) Elliott, his daughter Jamie Lee Elliott Feisal and her husband Steven, and their daughter Elliot Grace. Howard is also survived by his mother Juanita Lenhart, and father Norman, mother-in-law Geneta Clover, mother-in-law Ruth Harmon, step-mother Betty Elliott, brother Mark Lenhart and wife Sandi, brother Marvin "JR" Elliott and wife Christa, sister Robin Rabe and husband Glen, sister-in-law Donna Ross and husband Tommy, sister-in-law Tracey Rager, and brother-in-law Michael Harmon and wife Kristy, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and too many friends to list, each of whom he considered and thought of as family.

Howard is reunited with his father-in-law (Leonard "Lee" Harmon), grandmothers (Della Elliott & Pauline Draves), grandfathers (Horace Elliott & Lee Draves), brother-in-law (Gene Earl Harmon), as well as his father (Marvin Elliott Sr.).
