Helen Mary (Phipps) Riley

Helen Mary Riley, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished childcare provider, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on May 11, 1952, in Onawa, IA, she spent her life nurturing and caring for those around her, both in her family and within her community.

Helen was a proud graduate with a high school diploma, but her real education came from her years of experience as the owner of Wee Care Daycare, where she created a warm and loving environment for countless children. Her love showed through her career as daycare owner and also her relationships with others, such as her sister Rhonda, who is also her best friend. Her home in Yukon, OK, became a second home for many, filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of hugs.

Survived by her loving husband, Larry Riley; sons, Chad and wife Charlene, Todd and Aaron;sister, Rhonda Jester; 4 grandchildren with one on the way; and siblings, Rick Phipps, Phylis Boeck and Mike Phipps.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Cory Riley; parents Donald and Lobie Phipps; and 4 siblings.
