Harlow Peter Jacobsen, 70, proud Air Force veteran, passed away on August 4, 2021. He was born to parents Harlow Jacobsen and June Muir on March 12, 1951 in Crystal Falls, MI. "Pete" grew up in Michigan until the age of 10 years old when the family moved to Arizona. Following high school graduation, he joined the military.
Pete served his country in the Air Force and the Army for many years. He worked as a mechanic in the Air Force and taught mechanics in the automotive division as well. In the Army, he served as a cook. Ultimately, he retired from the Air Force.
Pete and Rita Jacobsen met in Arizona and were married for more than 25 years, and they loved seven children throughout their lives. Pete will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.
Pete is preceded in death by his wife Rita, daughter Jeannie, and parents Harlow and June. He is survived by children Bill and wife Connie, Steve and his wife Sandy, Sam and his wife Donna, Cindy and partner Ish, Annette and husband Scott, and Maybeth; and a myriad of grandchildren and great grandchildren along with numerous extended family members. The family wishes to recognize grandchildren Brandon and Kayley, and caregiver Tanisha Bonman for taking great care of Pete during his final days.
A service to honor Harlow Jacobsen's life will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 2:00 pm, at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary, 201 E. Main St, Yukon, OK 73099.
