Hallie Bryen Obituary

Hallie "Kirk" Bryen of Moore, Oklahoma passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 66, due to natural causes.
Kirk was born to parents Hallie Richard and Erma Lee Bryen on July 20, 1958 in Oklahoma City. During his childhood two of his favorite pass times was riding his bike all over town and tormenting his sisters, Carol and Tana.
He attended high school in Moore, Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Barbara Barker. They were wed in 1976 and together they raised three children whom they loved very much.
Kirk was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country for four years. Following his time in the Army, Kirk began his career as a machinist, working faithfully at Tinker Airforce Base for over 35 years.
In 2014, Kirk retired and enjoyed spending his time with his family, vegetable gardening, and tinkering in the garage with his bikes. His kids liked to tease him about the many bikes he collected and how he always wanted to add a motor to each one.
During his life, Kirk dedicating much time and effort working in his community helping people overcome addiction through the ACTS program and through introducing them to Christ. He also served in various other roles in his church including the sound ministry and children's ministry and was a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.
Kirk is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Barbara Bryen, daughter Hallie McEwin and husband Rob, son Dustin Bryen and wife Rachel, son Phillip Bryen and wife Bethany, his grandchildren Mitchell, Abigayle, Lily and Peyton, sister Carol Kennedy, and various nieces and nephews.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents Hallie and Erma Bryen, sister Tana Dennis, and grandson Jack Bryen.
