George Toyozo Iwashita entered Heaven's gates on February 25, 2025, in Muskogee, OK at the age of 85. George was born to parents Suekichi and Rose Tase (Watanabe) Iwashita on October 10, 1939, in Los Angeles, CA. His diligent work ethic led to notable success in his career. He effectively managed Nelson's Ready Mix concrete plant, contributed to the production of various aircraft components at the Boeing plant, and applied his diesel mechanic expertise across multiple tasks.
George and his wife Gladys created a beautiful life together for 58 years. They resided with their six children in the California towns of Winter Park, Cypress, and Escalon, engaging in activities such as camping, nature walks, and fishing. Both George and Gladys possessed expertise in archery, participating in competitions and achieving success in hunting expeditions. Travel was also a shared pleasure, particularly when he visited Japan with Gladys and his mother Rose to pay tribute to his heritage.
A farmhouse designed and built by George on 147 acres in Council Hill, Oklahoma served as a perfect retirement location. They took care of pigs, cows, dogs, cats and many other animals surrounded by peaceful nature. God was an important part of George's life, and he and Gladys served faithfully at Abundant Life Church. George will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly.
