George Wilson of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 8, 2020. George was born on October 27, 1922, to parents Rosie and James Wilson in Miami, Oklahoma. George served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following the war, he worked as a Mail Carrier until his retirement. George married Betty I. Prather and together they raised three daughters: Patricia, Georgianna and Carolyn. George and Betty were passionate about traveling and even went to Alaska. They were members of the Methodist Church. George's passion was to read and write. George is an established poet and author of many short stories. He loved his family and they enjoyed spending time together.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wilson; brothers, Leo, Henry and Joe Wilson; and sisters, Ethel and Ruth. He is survived by his daughters Patricia Little, Georgianna (Mike) Tostenson, and Carolyn (James) Montgomery; sister, Betty Haines; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
