It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Errol Naus, who left us on January 1, 2025, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Born on March 31, 1943, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Gary lived a life full of love, service, and dedication. As a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, he not only served his country with honor but also shaped the lives of those around him with his courage and compassion.
Gary was a devoted husband to the late Jackie Naus, caring father to his children, and a cherished son to his parents, Bertha and John Naus. He was a brother to many and a friend to all who were fortunate to know him. He will be remembered not only for his military service but for the warmth and wisdom he shared with everyone in his life. After his honorable sacrifice, Gary settled into a job as a mail carrier with the local Post Office.
Gary is survived by daughter, Carmen Naus and husband Joe Dick; step-daughter Michelle Naus; daughter-in-law, Julie Jeffreys; grandchildren, Gary Naus and wife Taylor Welsh, Caitlyn Naus, Emma Schell, Shelbie Schell, Braden Naus and wife Laura, Madison Naus, Nathan Surber and wife Brittany; great-grandchildren, Riley, Brodie, Kyla, Christian, Kendra, Alexander, Stetson, Wesley, and Wrenleigh; and sister Judy Toroney.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie Naus; son, Chris Naus; step-daughter, Kimberly Naus; grandchildren Rachel Redford and Ray Surber; and parents, Bertha and John Naus.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Gary during a Public Visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary.
Funeral Services for Gary will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9:00AM at Yukon First Church of the Nazarene.
